Stress Awareness month

Stress Awareness month

Feeling stressed or overwhelmed can make me feel like I am all tangled up and that it’s difficult to make any sense of things. The team at OB are very aware of how that feeling can creep up on us and in some of our recent posts we have talked about our process of scaling back, making decisions based on what we can accommodate and not putting the pressure on ourselves to say yes to everything. The wellbeing of not only each other but our friends, local colleagues and community are very important to us, and with all the pressures society is facing it is important to take time to check in with each other.

April is Stress Awareness month, it has been held since 1992 to raise public awareness about both the causes and cures for our modern stress epidemic. Taking care of our mental wellbeing can often feel like too much or we might feel like we don’t have the time to make a commitment to our wellbeing.

The Stress Management Society have put together the #LittleByLittle theme. They encourage us to focus on making manageable adjustments to our daily routine. While the impact of small actions on their own may seem little, the cumulative effects of these habits can end up being profound!
