The National Open Garden Scheme brochures are back
It only seems like a few weeks ago that the 2023 Hampshire and Isle of Wight Open Gardens scheme donations were collected by our local organiser Barbara Sykes. Here we are with the new 2024 brochure now available in the shop and we hear that this year Barbara’s garden is open to view. From snowdrops to sunflowers, rose gardens to river gardens, there are a multitude of delightful gardens to visit this year. Many will also provide you with tea and cakes and a tranquil spot to while away a summers afternoon.
We host the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Open Gardens scheme brochures every year, encouraging people to enjoy these green spaces not too far from home. This year we are also going to have a copy of the Garden Visitors handbook 2024, which covers all the gardens in the country. Not out until February, the book is the essential garden visiting guide for over 3500 gardens nationwide. Perhaps you could club together with friends and share a copy and plan some extra-ordinary trips away in 2024.
