Submission call!

Submission call!

Calling all writers and performers!

At October Books, we know this past year has been a trying one - but as we shift into one (hopefully) final Lockdown we’re asking you, our valued supporters, to help us put on a Community event celebrating the leap forward to a new way of being together. We’re asking for submissions of songs, poetry, drama, and fiction to help us usher in the eventual end of Lockdown! What did you Love, Loathe, and Learn? We want to hear your experiences, whatever they may be.

Submit your finest work: it can be about anything, and as funny (or not) as you’d like. The best submissions will be selected to be a part of a live event welcoming people back into the shop, the community, and life together again!

We really appreciate the support our community has provided over the last year, and we’re so excited to work on this with you. The best submissions will be selected and workshopped, with their authors invited (although not required) to perform as part of our Welcome Back event.

The deadline for submissions is Sunday 28th of February, 2021, so why not exercise your creative side and spend this lockdown polishing off your best work?

Send Submissions to info@octoberbooks.org using the subject heading OB review, detailing the type of submission (Fiction, Poetry, Drama, or Music), along with your name, and contact information.

(Please note the previously advertised deadline of the 12th Feb has been extended to allow more time to work on submissions.)
