Want to place an order...?

LOADS of you have got in touch via Facebook, Twitter and Instagram asking about the availability of specific books and food items. Thank you so much - social media is keeping us all connected at the moment, eh? However… just like you, many of the OB team are working from home in accordance with the lockdown advice, so…

Your best way of finding out if a certain book or product is available is to contact Jamie directly whilst he is on the shop floor - this is Mon/Wed/Fri/Sat from 10am-4pm. He can give you a by-the-second update on what we have on our shelves and what we can order in for you.

You can do this via email or via phone on 02380 581030.

Or leave an answerphone message - it will be received and responded to during these hours.

Keep connecting with us on social media - we love it! And we appreciate every share and RT. But for ordering - please see the above :)

Don’t forget, you can also search our catalogue online to see what we currently have in, or check out our list of non-book products to see what we have in stock in normal times.

We are still offering free delivery of books, food and cleaning products in the SO14, SO15, SO16, SO17 and SO18 postcodes. (If you live outside of these areas and require delivery - please do ask. We are a small team, but will do our best to accommodate you where possible)

Although the shop is still closed to passing trade, collections can also be arranged. Live further afield? Howabout paid delivery? If you do order from us do consider buying an extra food item or some toiletries - we are delivering these to our local Food Bank.

Want to buy a gift for someone and are stumped for ideas? What about October Books gift vouchers! These can be spent on any item in the shop - food, books, household or gifts. Purchasing these also helps us at OB with a short-term cash boost, so it’s win-win!

We look forward to hearing from you!
