The Book Buying Working Group: A Response to Your Feedback!
At October Books, we're always eager to hear from our valued customers and community members. Recently, we hosted a members drop-in meeting where individuals associated with the shop gathered to learn about changes being made and to offer suggestions for improvement. One recurring theme that emerged from this meeting was the desire for more diverse book stock and a higher quality of curation.
In response to this important feedback, we are thrilled to reintroduce the Book Buying Group—a collaborative initiative designed to enhance our bookstore's collection and cater to the diverse interests of our readership, which is now helmed by our new book buyer Jack.
The Book Buying Group is a direct response to your input. We understand the importance of offering a wide range of books that reflect the interests and preferences of our community. Through this group, we aim to not only expand our selection but also ensure that each title is carefully curated to meet the high standards you expect from us.
During our fortnightly meetings, members of the Book Buying Group will have the opportunity to suggest new titles, discuss upcoming releases, and participate in the curation process. Your insights and recommendations will play a crucial role in shaping the future of our bookstore, ensuring that we provide a diverse range of stock for all.
Additionally, we will address the need for more book stock by actively seeking out new and diverse titles to add to our shelves. Your suggestions, coupled with our commitment to quality curation, will result in an enhanced experience for everyone who walks through our doors.
