We can learn to...weave a basket workshop

We can learn to...weave a basket workshop

Basket making is an ancient craft that goes back to the time we were hunters and gatherers.

Join us for this fantastic basket making workshop on Saturday 30th March, 10.45am - 12.45pm.  The workshop will teach you how to weave a basket using modern recycled material.

The workshop will be led by Barbara, an artist and crafter who trained as a weaver.  'Having travelled in Africa I was able to see other cultures examples of basket weaving, and some years ago the Weavers Guild had a workshop that I attended in basket making from recycled materials.  Since then I have developed my own practice at making baskets'.

For this workshop you will only need to bring a newspaper, however if you have your own scissors, masking tape and a glue stick then please bring these with you.

To book your tickets please visit Lemon Booking or contact the shop.

The cost of the ticket goes towards helping support your local independent bookshop and community space and means we can continue to run events like this. Free tickets are available as part of our commitment to making our events accessible for all.
