An evening with CN Lester author of ‘Trans Like Me: A Journey for All of Us’

CN Lester is a lot of things, a classical musician, an alternative singer song writer, an accademic an author and activist. Also genderqueer.
In their book, ‘Trans Like Me: A Journey for All of Us,’ Lester explores what it means to be transgender and explains some of the most pressing issues and concerns: from pronouns to Caitlyn Jenner; from feminist and LGBTQ activists, to the rise in referrals for gender variant children – all by way of insightful and moving passages about the author’s own experience. Trans Like Me shows us how to strive for authenticity in a world which often seeks to limit us by way of labels.
Ticketed event: £2 unwaged/ low wage, £4 waged. Collection from October Books. Tickets should be available on the night, but it will be first come first served, so get them early to avoid disappointment.
It should be an interesting evening for all whether you are part of the LGBTQI community and interested in meeting CN and hearing them speak. Or someone outside of the community who is just interested in learning more. Hopefully see you there!
