Southampton's 6th Seed Swap will take place on:
Sat/Sun 11th and 12th February 2012, noon - 5pm
The Art House Gallery Café, 178 Above Bar Street, Southampton, SO14 7DW
Entrance: free (donations welcomed). Event is on the first floor so not accessible by wheelchair.

On both days: Seed Swap table as well as various stalls, including October Books and Beans and Herbs. Food and drinks also available from the café.

Seedy Sunday has been taking place in Brighton for several years - now a very big event there, and was the inspiration for Southampton's first Seed Swap in 2006 ("Seedy Saturday" as we then called it).

Why hold a Seed Swap?

Over the past century we have lost 97% of our vegetable varieties in the UK alone. A handful of corporations now control a quarter of the world's entire seed market - the very same corporations that are pushing their GM 'products' into our homes and on to our tables.
